I Trust You'll Treat Her Well

Dear World;

I bequeath to you today one littlegirl...

in a crispy dress... with two blue eyes... and a happy laugh that ripples all day long... and a flash of light blond hair that bounces in the sun when she runs.

I trust you'll treat her well.

She's slipping out of the backyard of my heart this morning...and skipping off down the street to her first day of school. And never again will she be completely mine. Prim and proud she'll wave her young and independent hand this morning and say "Goodbye" and walk with little lady steps to the schoolhouse.

Now she'll learn to stand in lines... and wait by the alphabet for her name to be called. She'll learn to tune her ears for the sounds of school-bells... and deadlines... and she'll learn to giggle... and gossip... and look at the ceiling in a disinterested way when the little boy cross the aisle sticks out his tongue at her. And, now she'll learn to be jealous.

And now she'll learn how it is to feel hurt inside. And now she'll learn how not to cry. No longer will she have time to sit on the front porch steps on a summer day and watch an ant scurry across the crack in the sidewalk. Nor will she have time to pop out of bed with the dawn and kiss lilac blooms in the morning dew.

No, now she'll worry about those important things... like grades and which dress to wear and whose best friend is whose. And the magic of books and learning will replace the magic of her blocks and dolls. And now she'll find new heroes.

For five full years now I've been her sage and Santa Claus and pal and playmate and father and friend. Now she'll learn to share her worship with her teachers... which is only right. But, no longer will I be the smartest, greatest man in the whole world.

Today when that school bell rings for the first time... she'll learn what it means to be a member of the group... with all its privileges and its disadvantages too. She'll learn in time that proper young ladies do not laugh out loud... or kiss dogs... or keep frogs in pickle jars in bedrooms... or even watch ants scurry across cracks in sidewalks in the summer.

Today she'll learn for the first time that all who smile at her are not her friends. And I'll stand on the front porch and watch her start out on the long, lonely journey to becoming a woman. So, world,

I received a message off Sue this morning to say that her Hubby Yogi had been called out to a job in Hudsons lane where some of my friends live in koo wee. I went around there and called But couldn't find anything out... I mainly Just needed to know that they were all ok. After about 20 mins of phone calls driving around Kathy Jane and Ashley came over and we drove around there together to see what we could find out ... And Yes it was Lyn and James's place. The hey in the shed had CONFUSED and caused the fire .

Friends of mine today Lost their shed 2 cars a ride on lane mower and a Years Supply of hay today.

I received a message off Sue this morning to say that her Hubby Yogi had been called out to a job in Hudsons lane where some of my friends live in koo wee. I went around there and called But couldn't find anything out... I mainly Just needed to know that they were all ok. After about 20 mins of phone calls driving around Kathy Jane and Ashley came over and we drove around there together to see what we could find out ... And Yes it was Lyn and James's place. The hey in the shed had combusted and caused the fire .

There were 9 fire trucks that turned up to put the fire out. I know its what these people do. But I couldn't get over the amount of people that had come from all over the communities in the area to help Via the CFA...

I know that this is what they do I had Just never really had Such first hand action with it. These People come out on a public holiday when it was 40c to help some one who needed it. And they do this every single day.

I had never really given it another thought But wow this is Just fantastic to see how great they wonderful volunteers are in OUR community

so Guess what I am trying to say is thanks to all of those volunteers that are out there at the moment fighting these terrible Bush fires that we have going on ...

The Lion King

Last Night We went to the Lion king. AND all I cam say is wow. Its Great... If U are thinking about going to see it .... GO ... The music is great and the costumes are fantastic. Well worth going to see. The city was Just beautiful after we had come out afterwards. It was a warm and Balmy Night. The Lights looked stunning and made me think of how great it is all going to look for the Up and coming commonwealth games.

HAPPY BARN OPENING

Well Yesterday was a big day ....

Started off with My friend Kathy's Barn Opening... She has Moved her business "Remember When scrapbook" Back Home as she was Out growing the warehouse she was in. Its a 2 story Quakers barn. One floor for the shop and the 2nd floor for her office and for us all to scrap in. It is Just fantastic. Pam Came Just as I was leaving. I did have some time to help her with the Balloons and a bit of streamers decorations . Then we surprised Kathy With a crown and a cake (thanks for supplying it all Pam)

There was Kathy, Sue, Jenni, Pam, Jude and Corey, Kirsty,Me and Kathy's fam. I did a Little scrapping B4 I left But was a great day

OHHHH forgot to mention I got PIFFED

forgot to mention that I got pifed by a friend of mine(pifed means Pay it forward ) So I now need to do or send something nice to someone I think needs it.
Well a few weeks ago .. (yeah I know its a bit late to be writing about it now but any way) I came home to find on my door step (well Lyn found it and put it inside) a Christmas tree and some Christmas decorations.

Now the Idea of a pif is that it is Anonymous who it came from and considering I live pretty much in the country along way from anyone it narrows it down a Lot who it might have been. I have my suspicions who it might be but this person wont confirm it with me... SO this person and your Crappy friend ... Thanks so much HON ..
After many weeks of nagging from Jod, for me to show her is a pic of it ... HERE IT….

I plan to add alot more decorations to it next Christmas.... And the tree topper is curtesy of Pam .. and there Is a cute little angle on there curtesy of the Daly Fam
